Through awareness,
you get a
certain attitude.
That's the way,
you see,
to achieve
more peaceful,
more compassion,
more friendship
through that way

Although I speak
from
my own
experience,
I feel that no one
has the right
to impose
his or her beliefs
on another
person

The basic fact
is that
all sentient
beings,
particularly
human beings,
want happiness
and
do not want
pain and suffering

By bringing about
a change in
our outlook
toward things
and events,
all phenomena
can
become sources
of happiness

You did so in the
full understanding
that the
American dream
is a dream that
all the
world's people
deserve;
that a new world
is in the making
in which humanity
should be united
inn its diversity
of race,
gender
language
and religion

For all people
who have
found themselves
in the position
of being in jail and
trying to transform
society,
forgiveness is
natural
because you have
no time to
be retaliative

The ego lies
in the fact
that I share it
with
men and women,
some of whom
are more capable
than me.
That is my ego.

Learn to know
yourself ...
to search
realistically
and regularly
the processes
of your own mind
and feelings

As long as
you are unable
to access the
power of the Now,
every emotional pain
that you
experience leaves
behind a residue
of pain that
lives on in you.

The truth is:
you don't have a life,
you are life

You are here
to enable
the divine purpose
of the
universe to unfold.
That is how
important you are!

When you live
in surrender,
something comes
through you
into the world
of duality that
is not of this world

Internal and external
are ultimately one.
When you no longer
perceive the world
as hostile,
there is no more fear,
and when there
is no more fear,
you think, speak
and act differently.

So, that is my
final lesson
from the universe--
you just do what
you need to do,
and stay on track

The older I get,
the more centered
I become
and the more
I think
I really know
about myself

That, to me,
has been the
greatest lesson
of my life
to recognize
that I am
solely responsible for it,
and not trying
to please
other people,
and not living my life
to please
other people,
but doing what
my heart says
all the time.

I don't believe
that anything
happens without
a reason.
I don't believe it.
And in order to believe
"That is the truth, "
you have to believe
it in all circumstances.

Your work is to
discover your world
and then with
all your heart
give yourself to it

What we think,
we become

The secret of
health for
both mind and body
is not to mourn
for the past,
nor to worry about
the future,
but to live the present
moment wisely
and earnestly.

You yourself,
as much as
anybody
in the entire universe,
deserve your love
and affection

An idea that is
developed
and put into action
is more important
than
an idea that exists
only as an idea

However many
holy words you read,
However many you speak,
What good will they do you
If you do not act on upon them?

Teach this triple truth to all:
A generous heart,
kind speech, a
and a life of service
and compassion
are the things
which renew
humanity

Believe nothing,
no matter
where you read it,
or who said it,
no matter if
I have said it,
unless it agrees
with your own reason
and your own
common sense

Words have the power
to both destroy and heal.
When words are
both true and kind,
they can change
our world.

You and I are
essentially infinite
choice-makers.
In every moment
of our existence,
we are in that field of
all possibilities where
we have access to
an infinity of choices.

If you want to reach
a state of bliss,
then go beyond
your ego and
the internal dialogue.
Make a decision to
relinquish the
need to control,
the need to be
approved,
and the need to judge.
Those are the
three things
the ego is doing
all the time.
It's very important to be
aware of them every
time they come up

The secret of attraction
is to love yourself.
Attractive people judge
neither themselves
nor others.
They are open to
gestures of love.
They think about love,
and express their love
in every action.
They know that love is
not a mere sentiment,
but the ultimate truth
at the heart of the universe

Every person is a
God in embryo
Its only desire
is to be born.
