Spiritual Alchemy: The Process of Turning Karma into Dharma

If bitch is the new black, then asshole is the new stupid. Sure, there are people in history, in business, and the entertainment industry who may be considered assholes. However, I believe that these people are master alchemist who mastered the science of turning karma into dharma. Maybe Steve Jobs was a slave driver and deadbeat dad. Maybe, George Washington was a bastard for burning the boats his soldiers arrived in. Sure Jay Z launched his career by being a womanizer and misogynist pig. And Eminem can probably go down in history as being the most obnoxious and annoying rapper of all time. Let’s keep it real. All of these people have something in common, negativity. But through the process of spiritual alchemy, they were able to turn their sh*t into gold.

So what is karma?

It is all the sh*t that you were born with. Don’t be fooled by all the hype that you create you own world with your choices. In truth, you are heavily influenced by the collective consciousness (universe/ancestors). If you are not aware, enlightened, or strong, then the collective consciousness will start to make choices for you. And trust me, you aren’t going to like it. The collective consciousness discerns who’s going to be broke, rich, diseased, happy or miserable. Lucky for you, you have the ability to change this through the process of dharma. This is when you begin to transform your life by appealing to the collective consciousness (ancestors). However, you can only do this by changing your perception and or transcending to a higher level of consciousness.

The process of alchemy has even been explored in ancient African practices.

In Yoruba, alchemy is described as an alignment of the heavenly and earthly consciousness. In Chinese medicine, it is explained as the marriage between two polarized opposites such as yin/yang, positive/negative, or male or female. The combination of these two forces supersedes the strengths of just one polarity, thus allowing one to transcend into a higher level of consciousness. So what does all of this mean in dummy terms? It means that negative energy is needed in order for you to grow spiritually. Also, the more negative energy you have, the greater your chances of reaching a higher level of consciousness (aha)!

So at this time, your inner critic is probably picking this post apart. Besides, how can a Negative Nancy have more potential at being successful and spiritual than someone who is always positive? There is a simple answer to that question. Negative Nancy has yet to learn her power. She doesn’t know how to turn her sh*t into gold. Instead, with the help of modern religion, she has been taught to suppress this energy, and the darkness that is inside of her brings about guilt and shame. So all of her negative energy is redirected back towards her, and causes her to degrade in spirit and in character. Energy, when given the opportunity will be released. But it will be released in the form of anger, arrogance, insecurity, depression, self-hate and pain. So in a nutshell, negative energy when not expressed will cause you to implode.

So what do the most successful people in the world do?

They release this energy into something that they are incredibly passionate about. They become the pioneers in technology. They become the revolutionist. They become the innovators who change themselves and the world through art and music. They become master alchemist. They are able to balance the positive and negative forces within themselves. They are then lifted out of their world into the subtle world. On this level, they have access to the realities that are hidden from them in the physical world. On this level, they can see the solutions to all of their problems. On this level, they begin to create their lives by working with the collective consciousness as opposed to working against it. This is when they begin to understand spiritual alchemy, and thus are able to master the process of changing karma into dharma.

How To Open Up Your Third Eye By Using the Power of Intention

Do you want to enter the gates to heaven? We have all seen the images of the pearly white gates that lead us to the heavens. We have all heard the myths about an angel weighing our souls, judging us based on passed life experiences and our future intentions. If we have been good, then we are able to enter the realm of heaven. If we are bad, then we are forced to burn in hell for all eternity. However, we very seldom see, or even learn about the angel who was blessed with so much power to judge us and to discern our fate. That angel is our highest self. And it can see the past, present, and future all at the same time. We can learn to have access to our higher self, by opening up our third eye, while using the power of intention.

The number three is commonly associated with the crossroads and gateways. These two things represent the bridge between the physical and spiritual worlds. It is our highest self that leads us by the hand and guides us into the heavens. This is the world of the invisible. This is the world of secrets. This is the world of infinite possibilities where we can create our reality, as opposed to being a victim of it. However, entering these worlds takes a great deal of knowledge and discipline. The gateways and crossroads represent our abilities to make the best possible choices. Bad choices may result in conflict and chaos. If you turn left at the crossroads, we may be using all of our intuition and not logic. If we turn right, we may be taking the path of least resistance. In all situations, we are going to have to be aware of our past, present, and futures circumstances in order to make appropriate decisions.

This is perhaps why we need to open our third eye, partly because we need to be able to see all of these worlds at once. Traditionally, we have been exposed to just four worlds. These worlds correspond with the different elements of the mind. Two parts of the mind are considered invisible. These two parts consist of the world of the future, and the world of infinite possibilities. These two worlds take place on a higher level of consciousness. This is where the process of superposition needs to take place, where possibilities collapse into real experiences. This is the world of creation. It is a place where we can understand the probability of certain outcomes. It is a world where we communicate with higher powers within ourselves. However, we can only do this by learning how to open up our third eye.

By doing this, we are able to bridge the gap between the other two parts of the brain. These two compartments represent the planes of existence that we are most familiar with, which is the past and present. We are well aware of the fact that the past can have a huge affect on us. It can weigh us down, especially if we have a great deal of guilt, shame, and regret. It is extremely important to work out these issues before you even try to open up your third eye. Resounding issues that lay buried in your subconscious mind can have a dire effect on your intuition and your ability to be objective when entering the subtle worlds. Just keep in mind that the mind can play tricks on you. This is why it is so important to purge yourself from negativity and doubt when conducting the exercises that I am about to describe below.

First, you must understand that your third eye is not really part of they physical body. It just has a corresponding component on the physical body, which is in the center of the forehead.

Second, when this third eye is functioning, you can actually enter into other dimensions. When you look at people, you will no longer see just the physical body but the soul body as well. This is when we are able to bridge the gap between the physical and subtle worlds.

Third, you can’t be nervous or agitated when entering this state. Focus on the brow chakra. Remember, the brow chakra is the psychic center. Close your eyes and visualize your intent.

Fourth, if you have a hard time concentrating, focus on your heart. Count the heartbeats. Then, focus on your breathing, put your hands on your stomach and feel it burgeoning up and deflating down.

Fifth, try and create a steady rhythm between your breathing and heartbeats. By doing this, you will become completely relaxed, changing your brainwaves while allowing subtle energy to move through you.

Sixth, you can visualize your higher-self coming towards you. You can even visualize him/her taking you to the gates the heaven. He/she will help you see the worlds of the past, present, and future. Feel free to ask questions about a loved one, or certain issues or pending events that may concern you.

Seventh, before doing this, you must be in a total relaxed and dreamlike state. If you are not in this state, your intentions from the physical (mental mind) may very well influence the results. This is the kind of trickery that I warned you about.

Don’t get discouraged if you can’t do this on the first try. It is very difficult to get out of your head. This is why I recommend you seek the help of a good spirit coach our counselor. They can train/coach you how to access all three worlds, so you can minimize your mistakes and learn to be the creator of your own world.

The Path to Enlightenment Can Be Painful

I am gonna knock you out! Momma said knock you out! I am gonna knock you out! Momma said knock you out!!! I am sorry, but if you choose to work with me, I am gonna knock you out. This is the reason why I am very selective about the people I work with. I need to be sure that they are going to be able to take my jabs. I need to be sure that they are resilient enough to bounce back from my punches. If they swoon, or if I knock them out cold, I need to know that they are motivated to get back up again. The path to enlightenment is hard and it normally begins with a hit being taken out on you by momma (Yemaya). Then it normally ends with a TKO knockout by yours truly. So are you ready to step into the ring?

You see our brains are subject to information overload. We activate millions of neurons with each bit of information that we process. We just can’t understand that our brains work much like a motor. It generates waste and produces a buildup of exhaust fumes in the mind, body, and soul. Lucky for us, our body has a coping mechanism. It is called the off switch, which is also known as sleep. Sleep, is the knock out method that is needed for replenishment and rejuvenation. During sleep, a routine diagnostic is performed. This is a precautionary measure performed by the body to ensure that everything is working and is up to par. Sadly, because of all of the information that we are forced to process each day, a few hours sleep is not enough to rid our bodies of all of its cellular waste products.

So then the rumbling starts. And your brain is like a hoarder, buried alive in its own filth. You get into the ring of life and just one punch drops you to your knees. You get dizzy. You can’t get back up. You collapse and the last thing that you feel is your face hitting the floor. You are out for the count. You see your whole life passing you by. You see all the events that led to your demise. You see the failures, the let downs, the frustrations, and the setbacks. Your mind becomes fried as it slowly demises into a vegetative state, a lower level of consciousness. But don’t worry. Don’t be afraid. You are on the right path, the path to enlightenment. You just had to get all of sh*t knocked out of you.

The path to enlightenment is sometimes a hard one. And you may find yourself being punched and pounced around like a punching bag. This happens because you are breaking old thought patterns, habits, and behaviors. You are clearing out all of the clutter, all of the junk. You will swing back and forth like a speed bag, rising in and out of consciousness, entering and exiting the physical and spiritual worlds. In many cases, people take a pretty bad beating before momma decides to knock them out. This is when she will force your body, mind, and soul to shut down so it can be fully replenished. This is when the old part of you dies, so the new part of you can be born. During this process, virtually every cell or piece of matter in your body is replenished, recycled, and rejuvenated to create the new and improved you. So you can get back up again, stronger and wiser, and ready to make a comeback. This is the path to enlightenment.

Jumpstart Your Life by Understanding the Power of Alternative Healing

Do you need a hit? Great, because I can pump you up with a few therapeutic dosages of electrical energy. Don’t worry. I am not going to use an actual defibrillator. I am old school, and I am just going to do it the same way our ancestors did, with my bare hands. Oh! You didn’t think that I had access to this kind of energy? Well, I have some news for you. We all do. We just don’t understand how to tap into this power. You see alternative healing is really about regulating the rhythms of the mind, body, and soul. So it is ensync with the flow of nature.

I know if you are reading this post. You have probably read thousands of books, and ten million articles about the mind and it’s ability to heal itself. But lucky for you, I am not going to talk about the mind. I am going to focus on something that is much more powerful, the heart. It is the most powerful organ in the body. And unlike the mind, it has not been programmed to doubt itself.

The heart does not only have an electromagnetic field that surrounds the entire organ, but it also emits rays of energy that surrounds the entire body. The electromagnetic rays of the heart are so powerful, that it can influence the mind of others. I know it is a lot to take in, and it may be very difficult for the typical Westerner to understand. However, this concept is not foreign to our ancestors, or those in the Eastern world who practice alternative healing. They realize that the heart is the gateway to the soul.

Traditional and modern practitioners of alternative healing understand the power of energy, also known as prana, or chi. In Chinese medicine, there needs to be a complete balance between the duel forces of yin/yang. In the Sanskrit chakra system, the wheels of light need to be open and churning so that energy can pass through the body and back into the universe. In African religions, there is this concept of vital energy, also known as ashé. When the energy or ashé diminishes, then sickness, disease, and illness will start to incur. However, there is a missing element to alternative healing. Many practitioners of alternative healing fail to understand the power of the heart. It is the rhythm of the heart that regulates the circulatory system as well as the entire body.

Research from the Institute of Heart Math has suggested that miracles of healing occur when one is able to regulate the rhythms of the heartbeat. Of course, this information is not new to shamans. Many of them practice alternative healing with just one tool, their drum. With their drum, they are able to entrain the heartbeats of an individual to the rhythm and flow of nature.

Other practitioners of alternative healing have been able to regulate the beating of the heart by just placing their hands on the affected area. Energy, flows from the healer into the patients body healing all afflictions and pain. People are even able to heal themselves. They can do this by pulling power or energy from the universe. They are then able to direct it toward a certain area or cause. This is how many healers are able to jumpstart their life by understanding the power of alternative healing.

Getting Out of Debt Using the Seven Cardinal Sins

Getting out of debt is almost as hard as breaking out of prison. Yeah, you can file for bankruptcy but you can never get away from the stigma. There are always going to be the employers who refuse to hire you because of your bad credit. And don’t forget the double digit interest rates, fees, and charges that the bank will joyfully tack on. Of course, having a great deal of debt will have an adverse affect on your living conditions. You can forget about the American dream of buying a house. Or even living in a somewhat decent neighborhood. Instead, your apartment will be the equivalent of a prison cell. It will be equipped with rats, roaches, and a ceramic toilet with feces stains around the rim. So if you’re badly in debt. You need to understand the seven cardinal sins that got you there.

Whenever I think about the seven cardinal sins. My mind rewinds back to an old Fatboy song with a matching video (yes, I am that old!) It features three massively obese men rapping about how their greed landed them in jail. There is a motif throughout the song that is both “ear-catching” and soulful. The tune replays itself in my mind whenever I think about debt. When people complain that they are broke, in debt, or financially miserable the tune pops up in my head. In Jail, in jail without the bail, in jail because you failed. I want to be as gentle as possible to these people. However, I really have a hard time breaking it to them that it is their greed, pride, envy, gluttony, lust, anger, and sloth that caused them to be in jail without the bail.

Gluttony

So you might be asking yourself, how did I get here? Well, you’re kind of like the three hundred pound fellow who woke up one day and realized that he was fat. You were packing the debt on like they were pounds and ended up in: jail: in jail without the bail: in jail: In jail because you failed

Greed

Your weight overflowed passed its limit with each maxed out credit card. You outgrew one size, and then went shopping to get another. Your insatiable appetite caused you to devour material possessions like they were greasy cheeseburgers and French fries. Your desire for strictly attaining material wealth pulled you further from the spiritual world and landed you in: jail: in jail without the bail: jail, in jail because you failed.

Sloth

Instead of exercising to pay off your debt, your ass became glued to the sofa. You get other people to get your fries and Big Macs, because the only thing that can move you is a crane. You are weighed down by debt and so you are in: jail: in jail without the bail :In jail: in jail because you failed.

Anger

You start to get angry. You get defensive. You start to make excuses for your behavior. You’re not fat, you are voluptuous. A size twenty-four is the new size two. Double chins are sexy. You get plenty of exercise by walking back and forth to the bathroom and flipping the channels on the remote control. You need to buy a new HD TV. You need a new car with an extra large seat. You need to spend, and spend, and keep spending some more. If a loved one confronts you about your problems, you lash out at them. Your venom deters them from ever caring about you again. So you’re left alone while sinking deeper and deeper into: jail: in jail without the bail: in jail: in jail because you failed.

Envy

Sitting around and watching television shows all day is a great way to feel sorry for yourself. Comparing yourself to others will create a desire in you to envy their traits, status, abilities, and or situation. Envy stems from your own neglect. It stems from your inability to express yourself freely. So you stuff your life with fake friends. You buy junk that you really don’t like and can’t afford. And you surround yourself with people you really can’t stand. Envy is really a prison of self-hate that will cause you to be in: jail: in jail without the bail: in jail, in jail because you failed.

Lust

Lust is just another form of desperation. You are desperate for pleasure. You are desperate for that extra slice of cheesecake, and you just can’t stop “spooning” that chocolate chip gallon of ice cream. Spending, eating, and sex create a spark in your body. Your body produces an erosion of hormones. Unfortunately, the consequences are as dire as an addict detoxing from rehab. What goes up must come down. When you finally come down, you’re going to hit rock bottom and your going to be in: jail: in jail without the bail: In jail, in jail because you failed.

Pride

Pride is also known as vanity and it is the sin of all sins. You have too much pride when you refuse to get help or even acknowledge the fact that you have a great deal of debt. You are convinced that you need to keep up with the Joneses. You keep spending out of fear of losing your friends, acquaintances, and status. Face the fact that you are dead broke. You can no longer whip out your credit card and prey that it goes through. Or exhaust all of your savings and depend on Payday loans. Come out clean and understand that you are going to lose everything. But when you are badly in debt, you don’t really have anything anyway. Tell yourself and the world that you are “broke.” You are broke spiritually because you failed to understand that material wealth doesn’t make you happy. Once you understand this you will never have to worry about being in: jail. In jail without the bail: in jail: in jail because you failed.

I See Dead People: Understanding Clairvoyance and Telepathy

It is rumored that the director of the movie “Sixth Sense,” wrote the script a total of six times. Why did it take him six times to write the script? Partly because he was unsure about how the script should end. Then low and behold, on the sixth try, he discovered that it was a movie about communicating with the dead. Perhaps the “ghostwriting” business is more complicated than we expected? Maybe we are reading the material, without knowing the writer who is behind it. We are jolted, and shocked when we experience any thing that goes beyond our limited perception. So much so that experiences such as clairvoyance and telepathy are merely twists that are defined as paranormal activity, instead of elements of our earth’s brilliantly structured plot.

The universe has its own plot. It is multi-dimensional and it is perceived differently based on its angle. There are scientists who believe that our universe has eleven or more dimensions. The best way to understand this concept is to think about the many layers of our earth. If we think of earth as being one-dimensional, we are only able to see the boring flat surface that sits on top of it. We simply can’t see the many life forms that are brimming below it. However, if we think about the earth as having eleven or more dimensions, we can conduct sensory excavations. This is when we can dig deep and uncover the fossils from other realms and universes.

Much like the earth has shifted, resulting in erosions that allow us to find fossils, our consciousness is shifting, where we are able to travel to different realms and see subtle signs of life forms. Some of us may feel a strange presence. Others may feel something or someone whisk by. While only a select few are skilled enough to be able to dig deep and uncover an actual fossil. Many of us enter into these realms without realizing it. Because when we look at the earth as being one-dimensional, everything feels and looks the same. However, as we start to expand our consciousness, we can start to feel the subtle variations in energy, thus helping us understand that there are many shades of grey.

We can then enter into different realms with a sense of adventure. We can then take our tools, and carefully dig up the blueprints of lost souls. We can put the pieces together and learn about wonderful, yet mysterious worlds that are parallel to ours. We would not only be able to experience the different elements of our earth’s intricate plot. But we can also discover the writer who is hidden behind it.

Religious Intolerance: The Oldest Form of Terrorism

We’ve all encountered them. They are like the suicide bombers with six full sticks of dynamite strapped to their chest. They conceal their bombs with a heavy overcoat and maybe a pleasant smile. They work to get close to you. All the while, their internal clock is ticking away. They are waiting for the right time to pull the lever so they can blast both of you into oblivion. Only, the suicide bombers that I am talking about are the fanatics, the zealots, the crazy cult martyrs who sacrifice themselves and others just to advance their message or purpose. They wage their terror attacks by planting bombs of dogmatism, hate, and intolerance thus killing themselves and everyone else around them.

These religious fanatics are like ticking time bombs. They are misguided martyrs who have been convinced to believe that there are absolutes. This mind-set worked well many years ago, before people understood that the world was round and that the earth orbited around the sun. Now, we are beginning to understand that our universe consists of infinite possibilities. Our world has multiple layers, each with its own component of truth. We tend to gravitate to the religions, practices, and philosophies that resonate with us. After all, we are all different. We all perceive the world differently. And we all have to walk down different paths. So it makes a great deal of sense that our religious beliefs will be as diversified as our race, cultures, and customs.

But the fanatic cannot accept this. They need to believe in absolutes because it makes them feel like they have more control. They go on believing in this fallacy, not understanding that the only absolute is that everything in our universe will change. So they spread their gloom and doom throughout the world by bashing other practices and religions. They strategically plant landmines and conceal explosives that detonate whenever their “followers” have a nonconforming thought or idea. People are afraid to think differently, afraid to think outside of the box, out of fear that their soul would be blown up into dozens of tattered pieces.

Religious fanatics are like the suicide bombers who gave up on life a long time ago. They want to take out themselves and everybody else with them. They gave up by not being open to possibilities. They gave up by not being open to opportunities. They gave up by not understanding that the world has layers of multiple truths. They gave up on the process of evolution. They gave up on the procession of growth. When people give up on life, they ultimately will face their demise, thus becoming as deadly and destructive as a package bomb that is placed under a public bus seat.

Spice Up Your Love Life by Practicing Tantra

A crazy thing happened to me today. It seemed that someone slipped passed my captcha code and begin to bomb my email inbox with a whole bunch of trashy spam. I have several email accounts. So I’ve built up a tolerance for spam. I treat them like my grey hairs. I pluck them out one at a time. But today, I opened my inbox to find a litany of trash mail. I got invitations from nasty college girls who wanted to invite me to their dorm. I received messages from MILF’s who were looking for booty calls. And I was cordially invited to a community of casual sex buddies. Yuk! Suddenly I felt dirty like I had just participated in some kind of raunchy sexual tryst. I scrubbed my email box like it had been infected with a sexual virus or disease. It was only after I finished that I got the message that my ancestors was sending me. People really didn’t have a clue! They didn’t realize that sex was a means of finding God.

So I guess you didn’t expect to hear that. Historically speaking sex and God hasn’t really been a good mix. I suppose it all started when someone decided that sex was bad and sinful. So this way of thinking caused people to have more sex, they just needed to feel guilty about it afterwards. The guilt makes us not want to connect, find love, or be vulnerable. This is perhaps the reason why so many of us have intimacy issues. So we look for the quick fix. We long for the one-night stands, the casual encounters, and the friends with benefits. Sadly, we fail to realize that all sexual encounters are relationship encounters. Ouch! I know that was hard to hear, especially for the people who have commitment issues and avoids relationships like the plague.

There are a lot of people who would disagree with me. But I truly believe that every person that we come across in life is a relationship that helps us to learn more about ourselves. As human beings, we long for intimacy, love, and affection. We need all of these things in order for our souls to grow. So we pull people into our lives that can help us heal our wounds while finding balance. Many people don’t understand the concepts of relationships, so lovemaking has become very disjointed. People start to take on a methodical approach where they treat lovemaking like it’s a mathematical equation. They really feel that they can plug in a few numbers and get the desired result.

Or they treat lovemaking like it is a machine in need of an oil change and tune-up. When things get dull and boring, they spice things up with sex toys, DVDs and extramarital affairs. They try different positions and techniques as if lovemaking is based on just performance. Wake up! You’re not driving a car. You are looking to find the other half of yourself. You are looking to connect with someone who resonates with your soul. However, you can only do this when you’re totally balanced within yourself. Once you’re balanced, you are able to connect with people on a much deeper level. You will be able to create this synergy where you move, communicate, and even act as one. It is only when you have this balanced that you’ll be able to create the resounding climax that you long for. This is the climax of creation and love that stems from only one source, God.

I’ve written hundreds of articles on self-development, spirituality, inspiration, and relationships. Understanding the Mayan Calendar, 12/21/12, and The Real Meaning of Doomsday

Gas! Gas! Gas! Gas! I had the unfortunate experience of actually entering a gas chamber. I wore the Evolution 5000 series gas mask over my head, and the matching chemical protection suit. Then the siren rang and someone cried out gas! Gas! Gas! Gas! The gas mask was glued to my face like a strong adhesive. I ripped it off and cringed from the pain. My face got hot from the gas, and my skin felt like it was being marked by a bunch of tiny brand irons. My eyes watered and I begin to develop phlegm in my throat. I raced out of the chamber right before all of the food in my stomach came out. I remember someone patting me on the back and saying, a little bit of poison can make you stronger while too much can send you to your death. It is from this experience that I understood the real meaning of “Doomsday.” It represents the change of eras where a poisonous gas will set out to destroy the old and replace it with something new.

So this poisonous gas is really just an amalgamation of radioactive decay. It has happened before. In fact it has happened many times throughout history. Colonization was replaced by industrialization. Industrialization was replaced by information. And now, the Information Age will be replaced with a new era of thought. This is an era of pure consciousness. This is the era of infinite possibilities. We have always understood that the earth contracts and expands. We are very much aware of the fact that something needs to be destroyed in order for something else to be created. Many scholars in the Western world refer to this concept as creative destruction. The process of evolution is beautiful brutal. A process that many spiritualist don’t really like to talk about.

So before you go out and buy a bed-bunker that is made with 10-gauge steel doors, or blast boxers that can be used to protect your most “valuable assets,” understand that Doomsday isn’t about living in this post-apocalyptic world. You don’t need to stock up on the Lifesaver jerrycans, or the GorillaTorch Blade. You need to start stocking up on ideas. You need to understand that our world is a world of infinite possibilities. This is when you begin to understand that God is not this omnipotent entity that is outside of us, but works more as a consciousness that we all share. This is when we begin to understand that “we” as humanity destroy and recreate with our actions, behaviors, and thoughts. This is when we begin to understand the concept of pure consciousness, and we begin to work together as a unit, not as fragmented pieces of thought.

In this post-apocalyptic world, we’ll no longer be sheltered from the consequences of our actions, because our greed and selfishness are going to blow up right in our face. We will feel the gases of destruction. We will feel the fumes of chaos, because we will begin to understand that we are “beings” that are interconnected to the rest of the world. The hunger and disease in Africa, the dire poverty in South West Asia, the war and conflict in South America will be as familiar to us as our own faces, for it will be the adversity that we will all have to share. In this new world, there won’t be any gas masks, chemical suits, or bedbunkers that can be used to shelter us from the world’s decay. There will just be the poison of our own destruction. December 21, 2012 is a warning. Our ancestors are screaming gas! Gas! Gas! Gas! It is up to us to overcome, create, and make humanity stronger.

I’ve written hundreds of articles on self-development, spirituality, inspiration, and relationships. Emotional Baggage: What to Do When People Are Driving You Nuts

You’ve seen the giant monster trail mix bags at the grocery store. The bags weigh at least three pounds and has an assortment of candies and nuts such as M&Ms chocolates, raisins, peanuts, and cashews. We eat them by scooping them out by the handful and shoving them into our mouths. Our taste buds tingle from the assortment of flavors and textures. The receptors in our tongues can’t perceive just one taste perception: so salty, sour, bitter, and sweet elements are mixed with our saliva. Emotional baggage works very much the same way. People who are overly emotional are like the giant size, monster trial mix bag that we buy in grocery stores. They are a handful. And if we don’t learn how to communicate effectively with them, they will drive us completely nuts!

We’ve all encountered them, the co-worker we want to choke, the irate customer we want to gag, hogtie, and lock in the utility room, the spouse we want to knock over the head with a frying pan, and the boss we secretly wished would fall asleep at the wheel and drive off a cliff. Hey! We all have fantasies. It’s the only thing that keeps us sane, especially when we are dealing with people with a great amount of emotional baggage. Lets face it, communicating with people is hard. Partly because we have an assortment of emotions, feelings, traumatic experiences, programming, and conditioning that turns us into “mixed bags of nuts.” We can be totally sweet one minute and sour the next. One bad experience can make us bitter. Criticism and judgments trigger us to be defensive and shrivel up like a slug doused in salt. We are very much in this continual state of emotional flux. This makes us pretty much unpredictable.

At any moment we could crack, fly off the deep end, and just lose it and curse somebody out. This happens for two reasons. One, stored energy will always work to release itself when given the opportunity. Two, we fail to understand the concept of reciprocity and that we are all co-creators of a shared reality. What does this mean? It means that it takes two to make a thing go right. It means that our combined intentions matter. I’ve written in other articles that all interactions with people are relationships. These relationships work much like mirrors that reveal the deepest and darkest parts of our soul. If we “allow” people to get under our skin or drive us crazy, we are not aware. We are not fully taking advantage of the lesson that needs to be learned. It is our responses and reactions that allow us to gauge the areas in our life that need to be developed.

We have to then set a co-intention. This is an intention that is best for everyone.

We can do this by communicating from the heart. Remember, ancient women were able to tame the mightiest of men by appealing to their heart. It is love and the fearlessness of expression that allows us to have harmony in relationships. The heart represents love, the prevailing force that supersedes the flavors of salty, sour, and bitter. So the next time you find yourself in a difficult situation and are on the verge of going nuts. Focus on the heart, this will help the monster from coming out of the bag.
